Privacy Policy

§ 1 Information on the collection of personal data

(1) In the following, we provide information about the processing of personal data when using our website. Personal data is all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses, user behavior. In this way, we would like to inform you about our processing operations and at the same time comply with the legal obligations, in particular from the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

(3) When you contact us by e-mail or via a contact form, the data you provide (your e-mail address, your name and telephone number if applicable) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. We delete the data arising in this context, if the request is assigned to a contract, after the deadlines for the contract term, otherwise after the storage is no longer necessary, or restrict the processing if there are statutory retention requirements.

(4) If we use contracted service providers for individual functions of our offer or would like to use your data for advertising purposes, we will always carefully select and monitor these service providers and inform you in detail below about the respective processes. In doing so, we will also state the specified criteria for the storage period.

§ 2 Your rights

(1) You have the following rights vis-à-vis a controller with regard to your personal data:

  • Right of access,
  • Right to rectification or erasure,
  • Right to restriction of processing,
  • Right to object to the processing,
  • Right to data portability.

(2) You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.

§ 3 Processing of personal data when visiting our website

When using the website for information purposes, i.e. simply viewing it without registering and without providing us with any other information, we process the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. The data described below is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security and must therefore be processed by us. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (page visited)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred in each case
  • Previously visited page
  • Browser
  • Operating system
  • Language and version of the browser software.

§ 4 Processing of personal data when registering for the e-mail distribution list

If you send us inquiries via the website by registering for the e-mail distribution list, your message/message, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing and answering the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on to third parties unless this is necessary in the context of processing and answering your contact request or you have given us your consent to do so. If you contact us as part of an existing contractual relationship or contact us in advance for information about our range of services or our other services, the data and information you provide will be processed for the purpose of processing and responding to your contact request in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR (legal basis). Otherwise to safeguard our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR for the appropriate response to customer/contact inquiries. The data you enter will remain with us until the purpose for data storage/processing no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

§ 5 Processing of Personal Data When Using the App

The use of our Studyo.AI platform requires registration via email address. No further personal data is collected for registration. The use of the platform is subject to a fee, with exception of the free version, for which we use Stripe as our payment service provider.

Processing through Stripe:

If you choose to use our paid services, payment processing is conducted through our partner Stripe, Inc. Personal data such as your name, address, bank details (e.g., account number, credit card number), passwords, TANs, your IP address, and contract data are processed to optimize and execute the payment process. This data processing is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and us in accordance with Art. 6 (1) S. 1 lit. b GDPR. The data collected by Stripe will be stored as long as the cooperation between us and Stripe exists.

Storage of Your Data:

Your email address and other relevant data related to the use of our app are stored only as long as necessary for the provision of the service or until you revoke your consent to storage, which will lead to the deletion of your data. Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
